WAL (Women’s Alliance for Leadership) is the first non-profit organization in Texas that is dedicated to empowering LGBTQ women in Texas through community education, career development, and advanced leadership skills. WAL has been successfully organizing events and monthly meetings where speakers are invited to discuss and present on various topics since 2010.
WAL hosts regular workshops in Dallas and Austin locations, as well as an Annual Banquet to recognize women leaders in the community and award scholarships. The workshops are designed to be affordable and accessible to all community members of all backgrounds and ages.WAL defines leadership as the ability to organize, influence, and motivate others to deliberately achieve a common goal that would not have been achieved otherwise. At Women’s Alliance for Leadership, all are leaders.
